MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
July 23, 2009
     
Call to
Order		  

Mr. Cutis called the special meeting of the Lewis Cass Intermediate School District Board of Education to order at 4:36 p.m. in Conference Room #1 of the Administrative Services Center on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
     
Roll Call  

Members present:             Mr. Maager, Mr. Hart, Ms. Adams, Mr. Curtis, Ms. Simmons

Members absent:               None

Administrators present:      Mr. DeVos, Ms. Butchbaker, Ms. Forburger, Mr. Chism, Mr. Hamilton
     
Declaration
of a Quorum		   Mr. Curtis declared a quorum of the Board.
     
Second Interview   A public interview was held for the position of superintendent with Robert Colby.
     
Contract  

Moved by Mr. Maager, supported by Ms. Simmons, that the Board of Education offer a contract to Robert Colby as Superintendent and authorize Donald Curtis (in his absence Patricia Adams); Lee Maager, and Richard DeVos to negotiate an employment contract that will be brought back to the Board of Education for final approval.

Roll Call Vote.  Ayes:  Ms. Adams, Mr. Hart, Mr. Curtis, Mr. Maager, Ms. Simmons

                          Nays:  None

All in favor.        Motion carried.
     
Adjournment  

Moved by Mr. Hart, supported by Mr. Maager, to adjourn at 5:34 p.m.  All in favor.  Motion carried.
