Resources Back to Top		Career Technical Education Committees Partners in Career Development—Partners in Career Development is a group of representatives from business, industry, community organizations and education, dedicated to the continuance of Career Technical Education in Cass County. The group meets three times a year at Lewis Cass ISD to get information about changes in CTE, see school showcases from the local districts and give input for the future of CTE and its programs.  New members of the group are welcome! Please contact Joan Forburger at 269-445-6224. Meetings are held at 7:45 a.m. at the Lewis Cass ISD and last approximately one hour.  Meeting dates for the 2009-10 school year are:                         October 29, 2009  @ Van Buren Tech Ctr-evening                         February 16, 2010                         May 18, 2010 Tech Prep Advisory Committee—The tech prep advisory committee consists of the counselors from the four local districts, representatives from Southwestern Michigan college, high school principals and invited guests. The purpose of the committee is to give input for the planning of Career Technical Education student activities and Tech Prep programs. Meetings are held at 11 a.m. at the Lewis Cass ISD in conference room #1.  Meeting dates for the 2009-10 school year are:                         October 20, 2009                         January 19, 2010                         April 13, 2010                         May 12, 2010   Business Education Advisory Committee—Approved Career Technical Education programs must meet with their advisory committees two times per school year.  The Business Education teachers have a county wide advisory committee that includes all Business teachers from Cass County, representatives from Business and Industry and representatives from Southwestern Michigan College. The purpose of the meetings is to get input from business and industry to guide the local high schools in creating programs that will meet the needs of employers. New members are welcome! If you are interested, please call Joan Forburger at 269-445-6224. Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. at the Lewis Cass ISD in conference room #1 and last one hour.  Meeting dates for the 2009-10 school year are:                         October 20, 2009                         March 16, 2010 tentative
